Lanzarote, the eldest island of the Canaries came into being 16 Mio years ago by volcanism. Timanfaya,
the "mountains of fire", where the latest eruptions in the 18th century took place, are really worth to be seen.
There are a lot of old conical volcano hills to be seen in almost every colour. |
